Background
Sally and Roger Stutsman have been married 42 years. The couple met at Iowa State University where they both received a B.A. degree, Sally in human services, and Roger in B.A. in farm operations. They've made Johnson County their home their entire married life.
Sally has been elected and served five, four-year terms on the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, since 1995. Prior to serving on the Board of Supervisors, Sally worked for the Johnson County Department of Human Services, served as executive director of 4Cs and as coordinator of the Volunteer Action Center. Roger has farmed on the home place all of his adult life.
Their son, Michael and his wife, Jessica, returned to Iowa to farm with his parents and launch an organic produce farm, Dirty Face Creek Farm. They have a daughter, Sophie. Tragically, Michael was killed in a farming accident in November 2008.
I hope you’ll contact me and let me know what’s on your mind, and what we can do to make Iowa even better for individuals, families and business.
Thanks for your support! Now, "Let's get to work!"
